Stories in Threads: Aboriginal Fabric Design Workshop

We had eighteen Aboriginal community members from across the Saltwater Freshwater Region attend the workshop.

The 1.5-day workshop explored Aboriginal fabric design, using botanical pigments and lino printing techniques to express cultural stories through textiles. The workshop was aimed to encourage cultural expression, preserve traditional knowledge, and celebrate creativity within the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi Aboriginal communities.
