The Gallery Public Program | October 2026 – March 2027 Public Program
The Gallery, Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance is inviting Expressions of Interest from Aboriginal artists and creative practitioners interested in delivering workshops, demonstrations, artist talks and creative experiences as part of our October 2026 to March 2027 Public Program.
We are seeking artists who are passionate about sharing their creative practice, cultural knowledge and artistic skills through engaging experiences that inspire creativity, celebrate Aboriginal culture and connect communities.
Whether you are an established facilitator or looking to deliver your first public workshop, we encourage you to apply.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome Expressions of Interest from artists working across a broad range of creative and cultural practices, including:
- Weaving and fibre arts
- Painting and drawing
- Printmaking
- Ceramics
- Sculpture
- Jewellery
- Illustration
- Photography
- Digital arts
- Cultural practices
- Storytelling and language
- Bush materials and traditional making
- Contemporary Aboriginal arts
- Other creative disciplines
We are interested in workshops and public programs that are:

Flexible Partnership Options
We recognise that every workshop is different and will work with successful applicants to determine the most appropriate delivery model. This may include:
Commissioned Workshops
The Gallery engages you to deliver a workshop for an agreed facilitator fee.
Revenue Share Workshops
Income is shared between the artist and The Gallery based on participant bookings.
Artist-led Workshops
Artists hire The Gallery as a venue and manage their own workshop, with optional promotional and administrative support available.
Pilot Workshops
Ideal for emerging facilitators wanting to test a new workshop concept with the support of The Gallery before developing an ongoing program.
Program Dates
Successful workshops will be scheduled throughout October 2026 to March 2027.
Please note that not all Expressions of Interest will be included in this program. Suitable applicants may also be added to The Gallery’s Creative Facilitator Register and contacted regarding future public programs, exhibitions, education programs, community events and commissioned opportunities.
