Join us for a special community celebration as we launch two beautiful new Gumbaynggirr language resources created to inspire children, families and educators.
Written by Dallas Gittins (Gumbaynggirr and Dunghutti) and illustrated by Dakotah Ballangarry (Gumbaynggirr), Adventures at My Nanny’s House is a delightful children’s counting book that introduces young readers to Gumbaynggirr language through family, storytelling and the native animals of Country.
Launching alongside the book is Yarn & Learn: Gumbaynggirr Animal Cards, created by Dallas Gittins and illustrated by Arkanna Donnelly (Gumbaynggirr). The companion card pack provides a fun and engaging way for children to learn Gumbaynggirr words and pronunciation through beautifully illustrated Australian animals.
