We’re excited to launch NextGEN Markers, a new project made possible through the generous support of the 2025 NAIDOC Grants Program.
NextGEN Markers empowers young Aboriginal artists across the Mid North Coast to express their connection to Country, culture, and community through contemporary arts practices. The project will offer mentorship, cultural exchange, and opportunities for public presentation — amplifying the strength, creativity, and leadership of the next generation.
At its core, NextGEN Markers is about cultural continuity — honouring the past, strengthening the present, and inspiring the future. Through workshops, community engagement, and site-based installations, the project will showcase how young people are reshaping the cultural landscape with pride, purpose, and creativity.
Support from Aboriginal Affairs NSW allows us to continue building meaningful opportunities that nurture cultural identity, foster leadership, and celebrate the rich creative contributions of Aboriginal communities throughout our region.
