We are deeply honoured and grateful to announce that Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance has been awarded 4-Year Multi-Year Funding through Create NSW’s Arts and Cultural Funding Program. This significant support will enable us to continue our mission of strengthening culture, identity, and community across the Mid North Coast.
Our project, Empowering Mid North Coast Aboriginal Communities Through Art and Culture, is dedicated to positioning Aboriginal art and culture as a foundation for social, economic, and cultural development. Through cultural programs, exhibitions, and partnerships, we aim to foster community pride, create economic opportunities, and preserve cultural heritage, all while strengthening regional identity and ensuring long-term sustainability.
This multi-year funding aligns with the ACFP strategic priority of ‘First Nations Stories and Communities’, reinforcing our commitment to celebrating and sharing the rich cultural narratives of the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi peoples.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Create NSW for their continued support and to our communities for their unwavering dedication to cultural preservation and expression. Together, we look forward to a future where Aboriginal art and culture continue to thrive and inspire.
