This May, step into the world of fibre art with Gai Southwell’s Manhuti WalkAbout Weaving Workshops, presented alongside her stunning solo exhibition, Sharing Time and Space.

Join us for two inspiring hands-on sessions:
Workshop 1 | Woven Earrings & Bangles
Discover the art of wearable weaving. Under Gai’s guidance, you’ll learn to craft your own earrings and bangles using traditional techniques with a contemporary twist.
Workshop 2 | Mini Woven Basket
Create your own mini basket from natural fibres and gain insight into the cultural and meditative practice of weaving.
Set within the evocative exhibition Sharing Time and Space, each workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, create, and connect. Gai’s works—spanning woven pieces, jewellery, and photography—capture stories from her journeys across New South Wales and Queensland, inviting visitors to reflect on place, culture, and connection.
No experience is needed. All materials are provided. Tea and coffee will be available. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
