Proudly presented by Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance and supported by the City of Coffs Harbour, through its Arts and Cultural Development Grants Program, this immersive event highlights the living cultures of the Gumbaynggirr, Dunghutti, Biripi, and Worimi Nations—the traditional custodians of this region.
Join us as the Saltwater Freshwater team transforms the Gallery space into a hub of First Nations expression and cultural celebration. Visitors will be invited to listen, learn, and participate through a curated experience featuring:
- Weaving led by cultural knowledge holders
- Traditional and contemporary music performances
- Have a feed around the fire yummy soups and damper around the fire
- Language sharing and storytelling
- Yarning spaces that invite deep listening and dialogue
- Market stalls showcasing locally made art, fashion, and creative enterprises
- Gallery Exhibition Earth Keepers exhibition invites you to see the land not just as a place, but as a living entity—one that holds stories, sustains life, and deserves respect.
This showcase reflects Saltwater Freshwater’s ongoing commitment to strengthening cultural identity, creating economic opportunities for First Nations artists and micro-businesses, and fostering meaningful community connections across generations.
