Sharing Time and Space Solo Exhibition

Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance is proud to present Sharing Time and Space, a powerful solo exhibition by Gai Southwell of Manhuti WalkAbout Weaving, running from 10 May to 30 June 2025.

This compelling collection invites audiences into a deeply personal journey across Country through the lens of contemporary weaving, jewellery making, and photography. Drawn from Gai’s extensive travels
throughout New South Wales and Queensland, each piece reflects the landscapes, textures, and quiet
moments encountered along the way.

Southwell’s work is a celebration of connection—to land, culture, and community. With an eye for detail
and a deep respect for the stories held in natural materials, Sharing Time and Space captures the
emotional rhythm of Country. The exhibition offers more than aesthetic beauty—it invites reflection,
stillness, and an appreciation of place.

Audiences are encouraged to experience the works in person at Saltwater Freshwater’s gallery space and immerse themselves in the gentle, grounding presence of the artist’s creative vision.
