Empowering Aboriginal People

Contributing is a powerful way to support Aboriginal artists and celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Mid North Coast; empowering Aboriginal people, sustaining culture, ensuring authenticity, engaging youth, and creating lasting community impact.

Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance delivers a wide range of impactful initiatives that strengthen Aboriginal culture, community, and creative expression across the Mid North Coast.

We provide professional development, mentorship, and employment opportunities in the arts, supporting artists to build sustainable careers.

Celebrating Authentic Aboriginal Culture

Our programs encourage the intergenerational sharing of culture through storytelling, traditional arts such as weaving and canoe-making, and dynamic exhibitions. We are committed to sustaining and reviving language, ceremony, and cultural knowledge through creative practice.

Donations help fund The Gallery in Coffs Harbour, a vital community space that hosts exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, and school programs, engaging audiences of all ages and backgrounds. We deliver cultural workshops and camps that empower Aboriginal youth, fostering identity, pride, leadership, and strong connections to Country.

Through the Aboriginal Design Agency, we promote ethical licensing and showcase authentic Aboriginal art and design across fashion, interiors, and commercial collaborations, providing artists with culturally respectful pathways to earn income. Our Saltwater Freshwater Festival is a unique regional celebration of authentic Aboriginal culture, showcasing local art, music, dance, and traditions.
